L. Dana Weaver, Jr.

Dana Weaver is a former business owner and senior executive, who resides in his hometown, Houston. A certified public accountant, Weaver graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas – Austin.

He began his professional career on the audit staff of PricewaterhouseCoopers. From 1977 until 2004, he and a partner co-owned The ABS Companies, where he served as president of the $150 million facility maintenance company, the leading privately-owned company of its kind in the United States. Under Weaver’s leadership, the company of more than 6,000 employees grew to serve customers in 13 states and 23 metropolitan markets.

Following the sale of ABS Companies in June, 2004, Weaver was brought in by a private equity group to serve as president of Symtx, Inc. of Austin, Texas, where he worked with the CEO to return the company to profitability and a successful liquidity event. Symtx served the outsourced test engineering market and employed 125 engineers (mechanical, electrical and software) to manufacture functional test equipment for the satellite communication and defense industries.

Currently working as a consultant and investor, Weaver is serving or has served on the following Boards of Directors: 4-M, St. Louis, MO; Olympus Building Services, Philadelphia, PA; Harvard Maintenance, New York, NY; GMI Building Services, San Diego, CA; McLemore Building Maintenance, Inc., Houston, TX; and the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI), Chicago, IL. He is very active in BSCAI, where he is a regular speaker at their annual trade show and convention, and currently chairs several committees. Mr. Weaver is also an active investor, primarily focused on early stage private equity and real estate investment opportunities.

Recipient of the Walter L. Cook Award for Distinguished Service, Weaver also was recognized with a Presidential Citation for work on M & A Seminars and Programs for BSCAI.

Active in community service, Weaver was a founder of Episcopal High School, Houston, and served as a Board member for River Oaks Baptist School. He is a founder and past Board member of the Camp for All Foundation. Additionally, he served as treasurer for the River Oaks Breakfast Club and coached baseball for the West University Little League. Married to Carol Weaver, he is the father of three grown children.
